Amicalola

Short for Amicalola Falls State Park, home of Springer Mountain. Hikers will sometimes refer to “Amicalola” the same way they refer to “Springer.”

Example: “I haven’t seen Moxie since Amicalola!”

Fun Fact: Amicalola comes from the Cherokee words for “tumbling waters.”
